Visiting Exhibits
Minnesota Children’s Museum of Rochester hosts well-known traveling exhibits that change throughout the year. Read about the hands-on exhibits on display beginning Spring 2012:
Ball-o-ramaApril 5 - October 2012 Golf balls have never had so much fun! Visitors can challenge physics with their skills and judgment through hands-on experimentation. Many of the exhibit’s interactive activities are modeled after centuries-old experiments created by Newton and Galileo to study objects in motion. Explore Ball-o-Rama and encounter interactive stations that use golf balls and ramps to demonstrate velocity, friction, gravity, acceleration, speed, energy, motion, distance and the laws of physics. |

Go Figure!April 5 - October 2012 Discover, play and talk about problem solving, numbers, shapes and patterns, attributes of objects, and size and measurement. Go Figure! is based on five popular children’s books brought to life in gigantic reproductions of the artists’ original illustrations. Inside each large-scale book, visitors find an attached copy of the featured book, a math based interactive relating to the book’s narrative, and tips for parents on supporting their child’s early explorations of math concepts. |
